action plan with measurable outcomes and timelines by
which the Stamford community can assess our progress
in the closing of the achievement gap. |

To encourage and facilitate the
awareness, support and participation of all sectors
of the Stamford and other communities. |

To aggressively and creatively
facilitate the involvement of all racial, ethnic and
socio-economic groups in the city. |

To establish close ties with providers
of pre-school, after and extra school programs in coordinating
efforts and programs with the public school system. |
 |
To recognize existing best practices
and successes that exist in other communities and in
Stamford, and to help implement similar programs. |

To seek counsel and expertise of
communities and consultants that have developed positive
and workable techniques and solutions. |
 |
To work closely with the educational
structure of Stamford including the Board of Education,
the Superintendent of Schools, the Principals and the
Teachers, the Parents, and the Students. |
